Friends

I do not wish to treat friendships daintily, but with the roughest courage. When they are real, they are not glass threads or frost-work, but the solidest thing we know. – Ralph Waldo Emerson

I am sitting beside one of the most wonderful people in the world. :) She came to visit from Sunday until Thursday, and we’re having a grand old time.

We’ve keep ourselves busy playing a Lord of the Rings board game and trying to beat Sauron. We haven’t managed yet, so really, the world has been taken over four times this week already. Sorry about that…

Today we visited one of our favorite places, an old mansion where we think the magician’s mansion from The Voyage of the Dawn Treader should have been filmed. Despite having been there several times before, we found a new section of the gardens we didn’t even know existed.

We just finished watching Felicity, and we’ve decided that movies that require kleenex should come with warning labels; we’d forgotten the sad parts.

It has been so lovely having her here already, and I’m very glad our visit isn’t over yet. :)
