Stress Relief

A merry heart doeth good like a medicine. – Proverbs 17:22a

Since laughter’s one of the best medicines (there’s Bible authority for ya!), and since I’ve been rather stressed lately, I’ve compiled some of the funniest scenes from, well, various things. I hope they make you smile.

The Handcuffs

This is from the I Love Lucy episode The Handcuffs. If it’s not blasphemy to say this, I think it’s even funnier than the one where Lucy and Ethel worked in the chocolate factory. Lucy handcuffs herself to Ricky, thinking she is using  Fred’s trick handcuffs, but she accidentally uses his ancient, real pair that doesn’t have a key. This one’s long, but the best part is from 1:23-7:15 if you don’t want to watch the whole thing.

Mothers vs. Teenage Daughters

Jeanne Robertson is a comedian. She is hilarious. This is one of her best things, and it’s pretty self-explanatory.

Snake King

This is from the movie Courageous. The guy in the back of the car is a friend of the police officers, and they were taking him to lunch when they found out they had to pick up this gang member and take him to the police station. They weren’t sure how to deal with this, but when the friend (Martinez) told them about how he and his brothers had formed a gang called the Snake Kings when they were kids (they threw rocks at snakes), one of them came up with this idea.

Worst Rescue Ever

This is from a Doctor Who episode called The End of Time. Most of it is pretty serious, but this part made me laugh so hard that not only did my roommate take note, to this day all she has to do is say, “The chair scene,” and I start giggling.
